As naughty children go, I have my work cut out living with Scrawny, my scraggy black cat. Thankfully, he's lazy alongside being argumentative, seldom runs anywhere, and never in his nightgown. Like me, Scrawny is a fan of metalwork and thoroughly enjoyed our protracted visits to the V&A Museum's metalwork section. A constant source of inspiration, I felt compelled to purchase some black clay and set to work with my extruder, designing some ceramic pieces based on moulded metalwork. There are more finished objects to come in the future. I just need to get Scrawny to stop sleeping on the black clay. For a skinny black cat, he's one heck of a lump.
